1. I am thankful for having the family and friends that I do.

A Galaxy is a massive, Gravitationally bound system that consists of stars, stellar objects such as brown dwarfs and nutrion stars, nebulae, an interstellar medium of gas and dust, black holes, and a unknown component of dark matter. examples of galaxies range from dwarfs with as few as ten million stars to giants with a hundred trillion stars or morw, each orbiting through thier galaxy. there are probably more 170 billion galaxies in the observable universe.

the pinwheel galaxy in the constellation ursa major the greater bear is a great design spiral, meaning that it has well defined spiral arms and dust lanes that extend all around the body of the galaxy. It was descoversd in 1781 by astronomer pierre mechain, and included as object number 101 in charles messier's list of celestial objects.

Cross country reflection

                

Wednesday 24th August.

Here I come Strathallan. I’m going to win I thought to myself in the taxi. We made it to the school.

Y8 boys I heard, Here we go boys. The hooter goes I start jogging and watch them sprint.I say to myself I’m going to pass them.

I’m halfway through I'm passing people, I finally catch up to Jacob and he asked me to stop I said keep going and passed him.

I’m coming up to the roundabout i’m almost there I'm really puffed but I come around to the roundabout and the people at the roundabout is cheering for me. I get to the last strip and sprint it all the way and get 38 position.

I think I'm the man for finishing I better get a drink before I faint. It’s real hot I say but good luck y7 boys for your race.

My botanical gardens trip...

Botanical Gardens Trip 2016.

On Friday 1 July Yr 5 to 8 oh and Ruaumoko all went to Botanical Gardens Auckland. It was awesome.

First thing we did was doing a scavenger hunt for plants. It was hard and fun. The hard thing was the clue that was biodiversity that we got last because Matthew put it wrong but that wasn't a problem.

After the scavenger hunt we did a series of plantings. That was hectic because everyone was roaming around and getting in the way.

Last but not least my group had a relaxing afternoon by sketching and playing hide n go seek.
